Angels Landing-Zion

Angels Landing is a 1,488 ft tall rock formation in Zion National Park in southern Utah. The Angels Landing Trail is one of the most famous hikes in the national park system. Zion's pride and joy runs along a narrow rock fin with steep drop-offs on both sides. The  trail culminates at a lofty perch, with great views in every direction. Climbers scale its walls; hikers pull themselves up by chains and sightseers stand in awe. The towering monolith is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Southwest. Ink and watercolor. SOLD

Southwest USA

This ink and watercolor sketch displays a sprawling vista of desert, river and mountains in the southwest section of the USA. This could be a scene from the states of Arizona, New Mexico or maybe Utah. You decide. Maybe you have been here.

Arches National Park

Scene from Arches National Park in the state of Utah, USA. This ink and watercolor painting shows some of the beauty of this park which is a popular tourist attraction.

Arches National Park, was designated a national park in 1971. Located in red-rock country and overlooking the gorge of the Colorado River, this area contains a vast and unusual array of natural rock formations. Water, frost, and wind have carved giant but graceful arches, windows, spires, and pinnacles.

A Visit To Monument Valley

I have finalized this larger painting in preparation for our association's Fine Art Show scheduled for February 2009. Monument Valley is a beautiful area located in SE Utah and NE Arizona, It is not a true valley but an area of pinnacles and buttes that rise as much as 1,000 feet above the desert floor.

The movie industry has filmed many movies here because of the picturesque red and orange sandstone, siltstone, and shale
landscapes. This is now in a 19" x 23" frame and ready for the show. Ink and watercolor. SOLD
