I hope you enjoy my stylized and colorful landscape painting of autumn trees with green and brown hills filling the background. I put in an ominous sky for more interest. Sometimes, fantasy is fun to paint. Ink and watercolor.

This famous sign is located in Los Angeles, California, and situated on Mount Lee in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was created in 1923 as an advertisement for a real estate development but became a famous and very noticeable icon when the sign remained standing. The letters are 45 ft. tall and the letters extend to about 350 ft. My painting was done as a commission for a Christmas gift last year. Ink and watercolor. SOLD

My loose and colorful painting reminds us that it’s always nice to sample wine with friends. Along with the wine, it’s also appropriate to have some crackers, sliced meats and yummy cheese. You may notice that some of my work is very loose (like this one) and very tight like some previous images. I paint the way I feel. It is so nice to be able to paint without many constraints. Ink and watercolor. SOLD

Once upon a time the railroads had utility shacks along the rails. You may still see them. This one is unique and I have never seen one like this. It looks very sturdy, sports an aging color of blue and may have been a base for workers who were instrumental in keeping the rails intact and the trains moving during the days of steam. Who knows, maybe this was a temporary “overnight home” for some lucky railroad employees also. Ink and watercolor.
