This is an image of my latest commission done in December 2012. During my last art show in November, a women asked if I did commissions similar to the two mountain images I had on display. She contacted me later and had me do this painting of Mt. Whitney which is located in the southern part of California. The gift was for her mother-in-law for Christmas who had climbed this mountain.

Of all your recent posts, I think this is my favourite drawing.
Thank you Sue. This was fun to do and my client said her mother-in-law loved the painting. That is rewarding when people really like my work. All artists love that.
There is something really graphic about this piece...I love how all the little trees dot the landscape, and the variation in scale compared to the mountains.
