Colored Fish
During the holidays, I did some playing with underwater scenes. I did two or three under-the-water paintings where I used maskoid then added layers of washes. The fish who are swimming happily were drawn and painted with no real fish in mind--it's easier that way. There are times when I play only--this was one of those times. Enjoy my colorful, experimental creation. Ink and watercolor.

This takes me back to grade school when I painted a picture of an octopus and other sea creatures and the teacher hung it up on the wall in the classroom. I think that may have been the first time I felt crediable as an artist! ;-) It just took a lot of years later to realize it for truth!
Thanks for the memories. Your colorful fish warmed my heart today.
Thanks Lynn for your comments. Hope you have not gotten washed away in Vacaville from all the rain.
