Idle Heavy Equipment

Another entry into my art journal shows an idle grader sitting by itself away from all of the other equipment and workers. Maybe it is too broken to fix but it was perfect for me to sit and draw. Is the tubing and wiring exactly as it was on the grader???--absolutely not but it looks close enough to be real. Ink and watercolor.

Hi Tim--
Thanks for your comment. Took me about 1.5 hours. But I was all alone and no one was bothering me so I enjoyed my free time. Lots of people were gawking as they drove by me though.

Art is about interpretation. Happy new year.

I have always wanted to draw one of these. I actually had a friend that was a heavy equipment operator. Let me drive a D10 dozzer. Wow, what a trip that was. Did you know that they can to 60mph? Great sketch!

Hi Jean and Dave. Thanks for your comments. Dave--a D10 dozzer would be fun to draw also.

Interesting post as for me. It would be great to read something more concerning this theme. The only thing it would also be great to see here is some photos of any gadgets.
