Chili Hills Mail Boxes

This is the final painting done at a paint out in late July during the morning hours of a hot summer day. There were six of us painting--four doing oils, one watercolor and me with my ink and watercolor. I am happy with the way this turned out and will enter it in the upcoming Fine Arts Show in February. Ink and watercolor. SOLD-Christmas Gift 2010

I love it! It reads "summer" loud and clear! The box each has a different character, each charming in its own way.

Nice! just chanced on your blog for the 1st time. I don't know if it is within the scope of your blog, but it would be fascinating to see the other 5 paintings and how the different media, yet the same subject, compare.

Hey Dad,
I love this picture. It reminds me of the mailboxes at the bottom of Grandma's street. It must be an Auburn thing.

Hi, Julie. Thanks for viewing my blog. This is a Lincoln rural scene, not Auburn. But as I said on the phone, the mail box painting from Auburn is in the archives.

Thanks to all of you who commented on my painting. To the one Anonymous... there is no way to gather all of the paintings done that day. But, all other views did not include my mail box view.
